Training

Webinars

Indiana Builders Association has scheduled a series of webinars to provide education on industry issues like significant changes to the residential code and jobsite safety as well as member benefits. Webinars are typically 60-90 minutes and are free for members. Register for an upcoming webinar at https://business.buildindiana.org/events.

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course Online

OSHA recommends workplace safety training for a safe and healthful work environment, specifically for hazard avoidance on the job site. The cost for this online training is $79. This course is approved for credit for the Safety section of the CGB designation requirements.

 

Lead Training

Training is required by federal HUD, EPA, OSHA and by most states for persons who work with lead in construction, conduct lead-based paint (LBP) projects in target housing or child-occupied facilities, inspect for LBP or assess lead hazards in target housing or child-occupied facilities.

Building Codes Training

The 2020 Indiana Residential Code (based on the 2018 International Residential Code with Indiana Amendments) became effective on December 26, 2019. Indiana Builders Association hosted six training sessions across Indiana from Dec. 2019 through Feb. 2020 to educate home builders, remodelers, trade professionals, and building officials on the significant changes to the code.
